Treatment of Post-Vaccination Syndrome (PVS)
The term, Post-Vaccination Syndrome (PVS), refers to symptoms of ill-health created by a vaccine. They may be either acute or chronic in nature. Post-Vaccination Syndrome in a child or adult can be treated with either homeopathy or tautopathy. Both use potentised remedies and often both methods of treatment will be needed. The following guidelines and instructions are suitable for infants to the elderly. If you have further queries during the course of your treatment, please contact your homeopath.
Tautopathic Treatment
The tautopathic approach prescribes the vaccine believed to be responsible for causing the damage, in potentised form. When the symptoms are obviously related to past vaccine exposure, tautopathic treatment is recommended as the first course of action. The best method is to administer the vaccine in series of potencies on four consecutive days.
Dosage Instructions
Day 1: Dissolve one 30C pilule in mouth
Day 2: Dissolve one 200C pilule in mouth
Day 3: Dissolve one M pilule in mouth
Day 4: Dissolve one 10M pilule in mouth
These four doses make up one series. (One or more series may be needed for treatment - see below.) The pilules should be dissolved in the mouth 1/2 hour either side of having food or strong flavours so the remedy can act without interference. Water is allowed.
Mild to Moderate Reactions
Sensitivity to potentised remedies varies from person to person. Most people are of average sensitivity and notice nothing but improvement following the remedy. Occasionally, some experience a mild to moderate aggravation of either current symptoms or of past symptoms experienced at the time of vaccination. The most common reactions are a fever or runny nose. These reactions are non-toxic in nature and generally represent a "cleansing" effect as the potency corrects an underlying energetic imbalance caused by the vaccine. No treatment is necessary.
If an aggravation is experienced it is important to wait until the reaction has settled before continuing treatment. The same potency is then repeated. If a second reaction is experienced the process is repeated until it no longer occurs - usually after another one or two doses. The remaining potencies in the series are then given as per instructions.
Moderate to Strong Reactions
Less commonly, a moderate to strong reaction may take place. Once again, these reactions are non-toxic in nature and generally represent a "cleansing" effect as the potency corrects an underlying energetic imbalance caused by the vaccine. Strong reactions can be minimised by waiting a week before repeating the same potency. Weekly repeats can be given until no further reaction occurs. If a reaction is still being experienced after four doses of the same potency, the whole series should be repeated, starting at the 30C potency. A repeat of one to three series is usually sufficient.
While it is preferable to let aggravations settle of their own accord it is also possible to treat an unpleasantly strong aggravation caused by the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th potencies in the series with a solution of the 30C potency. Dissolve one pilule in half a glass of water and stir gently between each dose. Administer a sip or teaspoonful every hour until the reaction settles. Repeat the aggravating potency in a week's time.
Hypersensitivity
If the child or adult is likely to be over-sensitive, each potency in the series can be administered a week apart, rather than a day apart. Those who fall into this category may have: serious vaccine-related complications; experienced numerous allergies; or, reacted strongly to the first potency.
Acute Reactions at the Time of Vaccination
The symptoms of an acute reaction at the time of, or shortly following, a vaccination can be partially or completely relieved by giving the potentised vaccine in solution in either a 30C or 200C potency. Dissolve one pilule in half a glass of water and stir. Administer a sip or teaspoonful every hour for up to three days until the reaction settles. Stir well between each dose. Often, only one to three doses will be needed.
Homeopathic Treatment
The homeopathic approach uses the Law of Similars ("like treats like") to prescribe a potentised remedy that closely matches the symptoms troubling the person. The homeopathic approach is recommended as the first course of action when there is no clear link between the person's symptoms and vaccination. It may also be used as an alternative to the tautopathic approach even when a clear link can be established. Homeopathic treatment is strongly recommended as a conclusion to any tautopathic treatment.
Homeopathic potencies have to be prescribed on a case-by-case basis according to the symptoms being experienced. It is not a "one size fits all" treatment like the tautopathic approach and so individual prescriptions must be obtained through consultations with a homeopathic practitioner.
