Information on Complexes.
What is a Complex Remedy?
A complex is a mixture of homeopathic remedies. Complexes may also be
called combination remedies. When used according to guidelines,
complexes are a safe prescribing option for those who are unable work
out which single homeopathic remedy will treat their complaint. Their
main advantage is that they are safe and simple to use. Their
disadvantage is that they only help if the needed remedy is in the mix.
How to Use Complexes
Things You Should Know About Your Complex Remedy
- Complexes are designed to help simple acute ailments only, such as
motion sickness, colic, flu, teething, sprains, and stings. They are
not intended for chronic or recurring problems.
- Complexes should not be taken indefinitely. If your symptoms do not
improve by four doses, stop taking the complex as the remedy you need
is not in the mix. See a qualified homeopath for a prescription that
more closely matches your symptoms.
- If improvement has taken place by four doses, continue taking the
complex at less frequent intervals until your symptoms have resolved.
- Remember, using complexes during chronic treatment by your
homeopath can make case management more difficult. If you are unsure
about using a complex, please consult with them first.
