Is Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) Linked to Autism?

Is Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) Linked to Autism? 3For quite a while we have known that paracetamol / acetaminophen (Panadol / Tylenol) is linked to asthma but is it also linked to the increase in autism? Dr William Shaw thinks so – and he could very well be right.

Dr Shaw first became suspicious when he discovered that Cuba, with a vaccination schedule similar to that of the United States, had with nowhere near the same rate of autism. A difference between the two countries was that Cuba did not use paracetamol / acetaminophen as a fever-reducing medication at the time of vaccination – they used something different. Shaw’s suspicions increased further when he realised that paracetamol / acetaminophen usage had increased at the same time autism rates escalated, and that whenever there was a dip in the use of paracetamol / acetaminophen, the rate of autism rate also dipped.

In light of this new information it would be wise NOT to treat your infant’s fever with paracetamol / acetaminophen OR to use it yourself if pregnant UNTIL further information is available.
