Individual Tissue (Cell) Salts
Calc Fluor – (Elasticity, varicose veins, haemorrhoids)
Indications: General relaxation of the tissues leading to problems such as heamorrhoids, sluggish circulation, and enlarged varicose veins and eczema. Helps strengthen the elastic fibres of skin, muscle and blood vessels. Also indicated for diseases affecting the surface of the bones; eczema, cracks and cuts in the skin (which is likely to be hard); and deficient enamel of the teeth. Also included in Combination Tissue Salts for: lumbago, backache and heamorrhoids; Circulatory disorders and Erupting Teeth.
Often better for: Heat in general; hot weather; hot applications; rubbing.
Often worse for: Damp and cold weather; physical motion.
Calc Phos (Indigestion, anaemia, bone diseases)
Indications: Indigestion. Poor digestion of food, especially following surgery. Anaemia. Poor calcification of bones or healing of fractures. Frequent respiratory tract infections. Cramps and poor circulation. Calc Phos is also recommended for the treatment of anaemia in conjunction with Ferrum Phos.
Often better for: Lying down; resting; warmth.
Often worse for: Damp and cold weather; getting wet.
Calc Sulph (Spots, pimples, skin disorders and slow healing wounds)
Indications: Dandruff. Pimples. Boils. Shingles. Ulcers. Dry eczema. Unhealed cuts. Has a cleansing effect throughout the system. Assists in the removal of waste products.
Often better for: dry air and cool open weather.
Often worse for: wet, damp, warm weather. Physical exertion.
Ferrum Phos (Inflammation, redness, throbbing, first stage of respiratory complaints)
Indications: Often called the First Aid Salt. Early stages of acute disorders. First aid situations such as sprains and strains. Early fevers. Anaemia. Aids the absorbtionof iron.
Often better for: gentle motions, cold applications, rest.
Often worse for: damp and cold weather, getting wet.
Kali Mur (Mucous congestion, coughs, glandular swellings, tonsillitis& ulcerated sore throat Glandular Tonic & blood Conditioner) - A deficiency of this salt results in thick, white discharges affecting skin and mucous membranes. Well suited to glandular and chronic rheumatic swellings. Works well with Calc Sulph to cleanse and purify the blood. Very useful in infantile eczema, and with Ferr Phos for a variety of children’s ailments. Other key symptoms include white coated tongue and light coloured stool. For conditions affecting the respiratory system – coughs, colds, bronchitis, tonsillitis, as well as important in digestive disturbances, especially from eating fatty or rich food.
Often better for: keeping still, cold applications..
Often worse for: motion, physical exertion, rich foods..
Kali Phos (Nervous tension, depression, irritability & tensionheadachesNerve Nutrient) – Useful for treatment of nervous conditions such as headaches, nervous exhaustion, dyspepsia, insomnia, depression and lowered vitality. Also consider for lethargy, as well as shingles and nervous asthma (with Mag Phos).
Often better for: gentle motions, company, heat, warmth, rest.
Often worse for: stress & worry.
Kali Sulph (Dry scaly skin, minor eruptions, dandruff & chicken poxSkin Salt) – This tissue salt has an affinity for cells forming the lining of the skin and cells forming the internal mucous lining of all internal organs. Together with Ferrum Phos, Kali Sulph carries oxygen to the cells and tissues. A deficiency of Kali Sulph. causes a lack of oxygen leading to chilliness, flashes of heat and shifting pains in the limbs. A deficiency causes a yellow, slimy deposit on the tongue, yellowish or greenish discharge from any mucous surfaces and epithelial or epidermal scaling. It is valuable in the treatment of Psoriasis, Athlete’s foot and brittle nails.
Better for: cool, fresh, open ai. Dry and stable weather.
Often worse for: Late afternoon air. Hot drinks.
Mag Phos – (Spasmodic pain, muscle cramps, spasms & twitchesNerve Relaxant) This salt has an affinity for the nervous system and can help with muscle spasms, cramps, and hiccups. Quickly relieves muscular twitches, hiccups, cramps and sharp twinges of pain. It is particularly effective for menstrual pain.
Often better for: heat, firm pressure, bending double.
Often worse for: cold air, looseness, noise, glare.
Nat Mur – (Excessive moisture or dryness, runny nose, loss of smell or tasteWater Distributor) Excessive moisture or dryness anywhere in the body is a good indicator for Nat Mur, and symptoms are many and varied. For example, colds with watery discharge and sneezing, un-refreshing sleep, low spirits with a hopeless feeling, loss of taste and smell, craving for salty foods, dry skin, headache with constipation. One of the most important tissue salts as two thirds of our body is made up of water, and hence dysfunction in this area can lead to widespread problems.
Often better for: open air, fresh air, lying on right side, tight clothing.
Often worse for: hot rooms, noise, lying down, heat, talking.
Nat p Acidity, indigestion, dyspepsia & heartburn

Combination Tissue Salts
A. Insomnia, Sciatica, Neuralgia Combination (Ferrum Phos, Mag Phos & Kali Phos) – Combination A produces great results in any situation involving the nerves such as sciatica neuralgia and neuritis. Mag Phos. acts as a nerve relaxant and is quick to relieve pain especially cramping and shooting pain. Kali Phos is a nerve nutrient and Ferrum Phos is an oxygen carrier combining to have a repairing action.
B. General Debility Combination (Calc Phos, Kali Phos, Ferrum Phos) - is used for general debility, nervous exhaustion, convalescence and allied conditions. Calc Phos is a general tonic that promotes healthy cellular activities and restores tone to weakened organs and tissues. Kali Phos is a nerve nutrient and has an antiseptic action and Ferrum Phos being the first aid tissue salt is an oxygen carrier.
C. Acidity, Heartburn & Dyspepsia Combination (Mag. Phos, Nat. Phos, Nat. Sulph, Silica) – Sufferers from indigestion or dyspepsia will know all about the consequent uncomfortable symptoms. It can be acidity caused by over production of stomach acid, or heartburn caused by reflux of stomach acid. Combination C is designed to help with these symptoms either individually or combined.
D. Skin Combination (Kali Mur., Kali Sulph., Calc. Sulph., Silica) - For minor skin ailments, scalp eruptions, eczema, acne, scaling of the skin and allied conditions. Skin ailments which are too minor to concern your doctor can still be troublesome and annoying to you. When you want a natural remedy for such skin troubles. Combination D could be helpful. It is best taken as a course of treatment.
E. Indigestion Combination (Calc Phos, Mag Phos, Nat Phos, Nat Sulph) – For flatulence, colic, indigestion and allied conditions. Flatulence causes distension of the stomach or intestines which can produce colicky pains, though these are often the result of indigestion. Whether these or other symptoms of indigestion occur singly or together they can be eased by the particular combination of tissue salts present in Combination E.
F. Fatigue & Headache Combination (Kali Phos, Mag Phos, Nat Mur, Silica) – For nervous headaches, migraine and allied conditions. Nervous headaches are usually brought on by stress and can be disabling. Migraine headaches are periodic throbbing headaches which usually start on one side. They are brought on by a variety of causes, often certain foods. This combination can be helpful for sufferers of nervous and migraine headaches.
G. Lumbago, Backache and Piles Combination (Calc Fluor, Calc Phos, Kali Phos, Nat Mur) – For backache, lumbago, piles and allied conditions. At some time in their life most people experience backache. Lumbago is backache in the lumbar region of the spine. The pain may be associated with weakness or a cold numb feeling. Local applications of heat and gentle massage may also bring a measure of relief.
H. Hay fever Combination (Mag Phos, Nat Mur and Silica) – For hayfever and allied conditions. Hay fever is an ‘allergic’ condition of the mucous membranes of the nose, eyes and upper respiratory tract. It is common during spring when sensitivity to pollen is severe, but it is very treatable with this combination, particularly if treatment is started from six weeks before the expected onset of the usual symptoms.
I. Fibrositis Combination (Ferr Phos, Kali Sulph and Mag Phos) – For fibrositis, muscular pains and allied conditions. Fibrositis and muscular pain, sometimes called muscular rheumatism, is marked by pain and stiffness. It is caused by inflammation of the sheaths surrounding the muscle fibers, which are involved with body movement. This combination reduces the inflammation.
J. Cough Combination (Ferr Phos, Kali Mur and Nat Mur) – For coughs, colds, chestiness and allied conditions. The autumn and winter seasonal remedy. This combination helps to reduce inflammation, sneezing, mucous production, uncomplicated coughs and the stuffiness associated with respiratory ailments. Combination Q suits symptoms that settle in the sinuses.
K. Hair Skin & Nails Combination (Kali Sulph, Nat Mur and Silica) – Brittle nails, falling hair and allied conditions. The tissue salts in this complex are important for the healthy growth of the hair and nails. The appearance and health of hair and nails often reflect the health of the body as a whole and these salts are beneficial when hair and nails show debility, especially after an illness.
Care and Dosage Instructions
Five drops per dose for adults, children, and infants. For acute conditions, take a dose every ½ hour (up to 6 doses a day) until symptoms subside. If a maintenance dose is needed, take a dose 4 times a day.
Keep your Tissue Salt bottle away from sunlight. Do not store bottles near mobile (cell) phones or microwave ovens as their emissions may affect the potency of the remedy.
